Higgins
When a brand endures in spite of wars and economic uncertainty, it must be doing something right. Higgins isn’t just one of the best ink manufacturers in the country, it’s also a trailblazer. Its founder, Charles Higgins, produced his first ink in 1880. He was also the first to pioneer the use of the ubiquitous ink bottle with a wide base and dropper. Since that first bottle of ink, Higgins has gone on to grow as brand with more product lines.
Today, Higgins has improved its production by adopting new technological advancements. The brand has also expanded to manufacture other products, such as pen cleaners and ink pump markers. Its line of inks has also expanded, with vivid dye-based inks, calligraphy inks, and pigmented colored inks. There is also a line of black and white specialty inks. Higgins has definitely come a long way since that very first ink that its founder made.
