Probe Tips
Without the right tip, a probe cannot be easily driven into the ground. Since the task of probing necessitates repetitive penetration and withdrawal of probes, having a well-designed tip for your probe rod can go a long way. In fact, rod tips with pointed ends and tapered edges allow users to push their probes into the ground and pull them out without any difficulty. The edges of these tips can also collect soil samples. Other kinds of rod tips, such as those with an arrowhead-like design, can get stuck in the ground, making it hard and unsafe to draw back out. A tip with tapered edges can make probing operations safer and more efficient, and it can even reduce the effort exerted by users. Here on Engineer Warehouse, there are rod tips available in various diameters, such as 3/8, 7/16, and 1/2 inch, to perfectly fit probe shafts of the same size. These tips come in packs of three, six, nine, or twelve pieces, so there won’t be any need to frequently purchase replacements or spares. To withstand harsh elements and regular probing, most of these rod tips are made with steel and are heat-treated as well.
