Padding Press Glue

Each page of carbonless forms, calendars, and scratchpads are designed to be torn away from the pads. This is why print shops usually provide these materials with temporary binding. One of the easiest ways to temporarily bind these materials is to make use of a padding press and glue. This glue is specially formulated to adequately bind materials to produce pads. Padding press glues come in gallons and are available in red and white here on Engineer Warehouse. There are also single and double glue kits that consist of a quart of padding glue, a brush, a counter, and a separating knife. To start binding materials, measure the thickness of the first stack with the adjustable pad counter. Then, set that stack aside on a chipboard and use the counter again to get a new stack of the same thickness. After separating the stacks, place the stacks along with their chipboards in the padding press. Next, remove the door of the press to reveal the stacks. Apply a sufficient amount of glue onto the edges of the stacks and let it dry for about 60 to 90 minutes. Finally, use the pad separating knife to pry the individual pads apart.
