Exposed electrical cables and cords can lead to a number of hazards. They can cause short circuits that may damage the device or appliance to which the cord is attached. Other than this, they can also be a source of electrocution and even fire. The simplest solution to this is to repair exposed wires with electrical tape. Before starting the repair, unplug the cord from the outlet first. Then, make sure to check the rest of the cord for other damaged parts. Finally, stretch out the electrical tape and wrap it around every exposed wire until it is completely covered. By doing this easy process, the wires will then be insulated. These are sold in cases that contain 100 rolls. With their 7-mil thickness, they can surely provide exposed wires with sufficient insulation. There are black electrical tapes that will be suitable for low-voltage cables. On the other hand, electrical tapes with other colors can be used to repair high-voltage cables.
